Booking and Payments

In order to secure your booking we will always ask for a deposit of 30% of your total order value. Once we have received your deposit and it has cleared if necessary, then your booking and date will be confirmed. The balance cost of your order will then be due no later than 4 weeks prior to the date of your event.

Once you have asked us to invoice you and confirm your order then we will take this as confirmation of your booking. If you then change your mind the 30% deposit/cancellation fee will still remain due.

We will produce your cakes/order/display exactly as detailed on your Confirmation of Order form. Please pay special attention to this form, checking all details accurately. If there are any changes to be made then please be sure to confirm these changes in writing with us. By paying your final balance payment you are confirming that what is detailed on the Confirmation of Order form is exactly what you want us to provide. Please remember that if it is not detailed on the form then we won’t supply it so please do let us know of any changes in requirements.

We accept payment by cheque, Paypal and credit or debit card (via Paypal).

Pricing

We reserve the right to alter our pricing at any time. Any bookings that are confirmed prior to a price change will of course receive the costs as they were at the time of confirmation of booking.

Workshops and Parties

Please remember to choose your workshop date carefully as we aren’t able to offer refunds if you cancel. If you are unable to attend a workshop that you have booked and you give us at least 1 weeks notice then we will try our best to re-sell your place. If we are able to do this then we will offer to rebook you on to another workshop date.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop then we will refund you in full for the cost of the workshop. We will not be liable to reimburse any expenses or costs incurred resulting from us cancelling a workshop, for example (but not limited to) travel arrangements and loss of earnings.

When booking a workshop it is important that you make us aware of any allergies or dietary requirements that you may have. The workshops are held in a domestic kitchen, if you have a severe allergy then please take this in to consideration prior to booking your place.

You attend workshops completely at your own risk. We will not be liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during the workshop.

During our workshops we take photos for use on our website and other promotional sites and literature belonging to Cupcakes and Peonies. If you’d prefer that we didn’t take your photo or use the material that you feature in then please make us aware.

We reserve the right to alter the workshop content at any time.

Delivery

We are able to offer a cupcake delivery service throughout the UK. The charge for this depends on your location so please contact us for more information.

It is imperative that you provide us with the correct full postal address for your delivery. We cannot be held responsible if your order is delivered incorrectly as a result of you providing us with an inaccurate address.

We always like there to be someone available to take receipt of your order on the day, however we appreciate that this isn’t always possible. If you’d like us to leave the cakes in a secure place or with a nominated person then please make us aware of this by stating clearly the name of this person and that you are happy for your order to be left with them.

Cupcakes and Peonies will take full responsibility for your order up until point of delivery and if applicable set-up. Beyond this point we cannot be held responsible for any damage to the cakes, stand or delivery that might occur.

We will always agree a suitable date and time with you for delivery and will endeavour to keep to this, subject to uncontrollable disasters. For weekend and wedding deliveries we have a before 12 noon policy and we will always have delivered and set-up to allow time for any such disasters.

Stand Hire

We have a variety of stands available to hire for your wedding or event. Our stand hire is charged at a flat rate of £30.00 (plus a deposit which will be returned to you upon safe and complete return of the stand). We ask that you return the stand to us via insured post, courier or hand deliver back to us within 7 working days. Once we have received the stand back and checked it over, providing there are no missing parts, damage or breakages we will return your deposit to you within 7 working days. If when we receive the stand back there are any damages, cosmetic or otherwise or there are pieces missing then we reserve the right to retain the whole deposit.
